This installation is a continuation of my fascination with the Japanese aesthetic: beautiful knotting Nawa-do, rope philosophy Shibari, indigo dyeing Aizome.

 

The dyed and tied rope is channeling the colors of the tropics. At sunset there is a magical moment on the ocean horizon where a green ray of light flashes near the waning sun.
