Marea: TIDE FLOW

Marble

2.5" x 3" x 20" (23", 25")

This sculpture is a mirror of the sculpture I cast in glass for an exhibition in Colorado. The glass sculpture is about the Chinook winds that sweep down from the Rocky Mountains. This marble sculpture is about the Yule Marble vein in the Elk Mountains of western Colorado; geologic history describes the area there was a large inland sea 350 million years ago. The similar “FLOW” of the Chinook winds and the “FLOW” of the marble fascinated me.
