In Providence a nonprofit called Farm Fresh Rhode Island discovered a cache of marble when they started excavating for their building. The location turned out to be the staging area for the RI State House constructed 1895-1904. From the rubble, I obtained two beat up slabs of the Georgia marble.
2023: RIFT was created with the idea of the earth’s topographical changes over millennia. The ribbon of anodized aluminum represents the force of water in geologic terms.
2025: CAVE CLAN sculpture evolved from my fascination with the history of ancient peoples who explored earth’s interior and left a visual legacy of the world’s oldest symbols and paintings.
