Ideas and materials that seem inherently opposite in nature, stripped down to their basic elements, are endlessly intriguing to me. Ceramics with paper, bronze with stone, glass with metal, and visual with verbal are dualities that are often paired in my work. My art is multidisciplinary, combining aspects of sculpture, painting and writing. I consider the pieces a form of visual publication of “Short Short” stories and poetry, genres that distill concepts and word content.
