Life Living Us: Run and Hit
In Kyoto, Japan I visited a temple that had on its outer wall a sign proclaiming, “Life is Living Us”. Run and Hit exemplifies that Buddhist slogan, the shattered glass representing the randomness of life changing events, totally beyond our control. Like the beautiful fall day when I ran home from grade school into an oncoming car.
It was bad timing
Me running home after school
Looking left not right
Autumn glare and Ford Fairlane
Bones remember forever
