Ex Voto
Buddhist communicants often tie paper prayers to various scaffolding provided at Japanese temples. Ex Voto is an interactive sculpture borrowing from this concept. People may write a personal note on joss paper, fold the note and place it in the gap between the two pieces of glass on the interior of the stone stela. At the end of each day the papers will be burned in the fire box.
